Hi everyone,
As you may know, Mandela Day is celebrated annually on July 18th to honor the legacy of Nelson Mandela, a human rights activist, politician, and philanthropist. As a company that values social responsibility and community engagement, we want to take this opportunity to observe Mandela Day in the workplace.
We believe that Mandela Day is a call to action for individuals and organizations to make a positive difference in their communities and the world at large. As a workplace, we can make a significant impact by coming together to promote social responsibility, inclusivity, and community engagement.
We encourage everyone to volunteer their time and skills in their local communities year-round. This could involve participating in a community service project, volunteering at a local charity, reading at a senior center or mentoring youth in the community.
This year, we will be offering PTO on Mandela Day for anyone who wants to sign up to participate in a community service project we’ve arranged. We will be cleaning local parks and playgrounds. You can reach out to HR to have your PTO approved, be assigned to a team, and receive more detailed information.
Additionally, we will be making a donation to [INSERT CHARITABLE DONATION OR CAUSE]. We invite you to join us by making a donation of your own.
Thank you for your commitment to social responsibility and community engagement. We look forward to working together to make an impact in our communities.
Thank you,
People Team
