We invite you all to use this day as a stepping stone to broaden your understanding of the non-binary community:
- Non-binary individuals may identify as having a gender that blends elements of both male and female, exists outside of these categories altogether, or may reject the concept of gender entirely.
- Non-binary is often used as an umbrella term, encompassing a variety of gender identities, including but not limited to genderqueer, genderfluid, and agender.
- Use gender-neutral language whenever possible, such as "folks" or "team" instead of "guys."
- Indicate your pronouns in your email signature and/or LinkedIn profile.
- If unsure, it's respectful to ask someone for their preferred pronouns.
