Hi everyone,
We want to remind everyone that our Canada Team will be OOO in observance of Civic Holiday.
The Civic Holiday, also known as "August Long Weekend" or by various local names in different provinces, is an opportunity for Canadians across the country to celebrate their local culture and history. The holiday's name and the traditions observed on this day vary greatly across Canada because each province and municipality is given the freedom to define the holiday in its own unique way.
In some provinces, the holiday may celebrate a significant historical figure, an event, or an aspect of local culture. From Regatta Day in St. John’s, Newfoundland, to British Columbia Day in BC, to Reginald Appreciation Day in Saskatchewan, each region has its own story to tell.
We hope you enjoy the summer weather and have a memorable and safe holiday!
Thank you,

Hey everyone, 👋
Just wanted to drop a quick note to say that our Canada team 🍁 will be OOO this Civic Holiday. 🚫💼.
Civic Holiday is pretty unique - Canadians get to decide how we celebrate based on our local culture and history. It's different everywhere, so it gets a lot of names: "August Long Weekend," or something totally unique to each province. 🏞️🌆
Depending on where you are, it might be about a cool historical figure, a special event, or just something quirky about local culture. It could be Regatta Day 🚣♀️ in St. John’s, Newfoundland, British Columbia Day in BC, or even Reginald Appreciation Day in Saskatchewan - every place has its own story and way of celebrating. 📖
Whatever you do, make sure to enjoy the summer weather ☀️ and have an awesome and safe time off. 🎈🥳
Thank you! 🙏

The Civic Holiday, also known as the August long weekend, is an optional holiday celebrated on the first Monday of August in many parts of Canada. However, it's not a statutory holiday in all provinces and territories, and its name and the manner in which it is celebrated can vary widely.
The following provinces and territories observe this holiday (this information may be subject to change):
Within provinces, certain municipalities may not observe the holiday, or may celebrate it under a different name. It's best to check local laws and customs for the most accurate information.
With our team members and companies now spread across the globe, it's important to keep each other informed about diverse holidays and scheduled days off. If you have team members based in Canada, it would be helpful to send out a reminder that some team members may be out of office (OOO).
