How to commemorate Women’s History Month
Observed annually in March since 1987, Women's History Month is dedicated to reflecting on the often overlooked contributions of women to United States history, culture, and society.
One of the most significant ways your team can observe Women's History Month is to take a stance. Raise awareness for the contributions of women in the workplace and recognize the disparity that exists as women rise to break glass ceilings.
A few ways your team can celebrate Women's History include:
- Learn about women who have made an impact in medicine, science, art, music, and more who were pioneers, paving a path for women to follow in careers they previously never dreamed possible.
- Explore the history of women's rights and discuss ways your team can make a group and individual effort to advocate for women in and out of the workplace.
- Support a non-profit that works to break down barriers for women, volunteer or donate to a charity that supports women, and support businesses owned and operated by women.
- Throw an office party to cut loose and celebrate the women in your organization at every level.
- Share the special Women's History Month Zoom backgrounds with your team to celebrate together!
